As the army advances towards the reserve base, and Teros manages to escape notice, Odia is in Pecinca monitoring the supply of gold stone coins.
The gold stone coins are not being resupplied in Pecinca at the moment, Odia discovers after asking a soldier, who takes her to Lieutenant Merie Wezem Tenebris.
The Resistancers of Lokos have managed to position themselves in the ridge above a large section of the ceiling of the Absconditrum, in order to make it fall down onto the pile of bickbearels below, which the surround the possessed Para The ceiling crushes the desperate bickbearels and also Para, but the restless spirit makes her so strong that she easily survives this, and so the fight begins. The remains of the central hall in the Absconditrum, on which the bickbearels lay, cannot withstand the pressure of the collapsing ceiling. Everything starts to break and collapse, towards the seemingly endlessly deep bottom of the Absconditrum.
While this is happening, they also find Toai, who, struggling with a monstrous change of his body, also lies on the floor of the central hall, and emerges after the enormous havoc caused by the ceiling. Soon follows a fight between the possessed, flying Para and the heroes hanging from the remains of floorboards and ceiling. With the help of the inner eye of Modi the Resistancers knows how to cling to Para, who is overwhelmed by this unexpected maneuver.
The restless spirit in Para recognizes something in Modi, and suddenly calls him 'descendant', but whose?
Meanwhile, Teros, the Bookkeeper, is able to move around the city cleverly. Despite his broken arm, he is able to find the Detective's building. He is also heading in the same direction as the Decadomum.
The heroes who grasped themsevels around the possessed Para are dragged down by a giant bickbearel, so that they feel solid ground again, but can hardly see anything.
After an epic sword fight with Para and Modi, where Modi almost loses, the friends Vlad and Ristato come to the rescue and thus Para is defeated by an unexpected blow from a silver-gray pickaxe.
