Corps Guard Modi Xufol

Modi Xufol, a descendant of a gatekeeper family of the fortified town Lokos, after the murder of Angus “the Banker” Scuto Rubro is forced by the Counsilator to stay on base. This while he actually wants to look for the culprit, the fleeting being, who during the Entry into Lokos already communicated with him telepathically. After the impeccable action of that fleeting being, this mysterious figure runs off with the Banker's head....

Together with his friends and colleagues Calida Xufol (tevens zijn zusje), Eep Loc, Toai of Bahts and Para Deeks they secretly set out after a special meeting. The young, gifted swordsman soon takes charge, christening him and his friends the Resistancers of Lokos. Soon he comes to grips with himself, and despite being helped by some important people, he must sacrifice much in order to finally achieve his own goal: the search for the fleeting being, the volatile figure who beheaded the Banker in broad daylight, and also another, underlying goal which he gradually discovers more and more. In Death in the Light: The Resistance of Lokos it quickly becomes clear what role Modi should play, and the story explains the turning point, where Modi emerges as a hero.

But to do so, he must make hard choices, such as keeping his actions secret from his father (the Chief Guard and Council Member of Lokos), Korul Xufol, and secretly escaping from Lokos against the orders of the Councilator, who is in full control of his father.
